Dr. Kelly Moffat received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1993 and stayed on at CSU to complete a yearlong internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Moffat joined Mesa Veterinary Hospital in 1994 and joined into a residency program in Veterinary Animal Behavior in 1998. She passed her certifying exam in 2004, becoming one of now 74 veterinary behaviorist licensed in the United States. Dr. Moffat has lectured nationally and locally in veterinary behavior as well as publishing in the field.
Due to her interest in the human-animal bond and internal medicine, Dr. Moffat still enjoys keeping an active general medicine practice in addition to her behavior consultations. Outside organization involvement includes Kiwanis International. She is also active raising a daughter and tending to a menagerie of pets to include dogs, cats, a horse, tortoise, guinea pigs, chickens and fish.
